The sensing layer ships inside the hardware you already own
The access points and routers already in your customers' homes can become a sense — presence, motion, and falls — with no camera and no new box. Stillsense Core is that engine, offered to license.

The sensing layer ships inside the hardware you already own
If you run a network, an alarm service, or a smart-home platform, you have already done the hard part. You have hardware in the home and a relationship with the person who lives there. What you may not have noticed is that the same Wi-Fi carrying their traffic is also a high-resolution picture of their space — one that is sitting unused.
A sense, not a finished box
Stillsense Core is the engine behind our own products, offered as a platform you can build on. It reads the Channel State Information already present in standard Wi-Fi and turns it into a real-time understanding of a room — presence, movement, and falls — computed on the edge, in the home, never the cloud.
You bring the hardware footprint and the customer. We bring the sense. It runs on commodity access points and low-cost sensor nodes, ships as an embeddable engine with a clean integration surface, and can run self-hosted or on Stillsense Cloud, our Norway-resident managed plane.
Capabilities, with their maturity stated plainly
We do not oversell what the engine does. Presence detection, motion and activity, room-level localisation, and bed-exit are available today. Fall detection is available, under independent validation. We would rather you build on a capability we can stand behind than ship a claim we cannot.
Why now
In October 2024, the IEEE froze 802.11bf — a Wi-Fi standard for exactly this kind of sensing. The category is no longer speculative; it is being defined. Adding ambient sensing to the devices you already ship is shifting from a differentiator to an expectation.
There is no camera, no microphone, and nothing to leak — only interpreted events leaving the home. For a partner, that is the rare feature that adds value and removes liability at the same time.
